The focus of Cape Schank Consulting is to educate, consult, and ultimately implement leading private market and alternatives portfolio strategies for its clients. These strategies, straddling hedge funds, private credit, and private equity, are growing in importance within a modern and multi-generational portfolio in today’s world.

Cape Schanck’s founder Iain North has over 20 years experience in research and investment; a decade in London at a leading alternatives investment manager and a decade working at Australia’s two leading investment consultants. In the UK, Iain developed invaluable relationships and technical expertise with many of the world’s largest hedge fund and private market managers while being a key member of an award-winning investment team.

More recently, Iain was Head of the Alternatives Research Team at Australia’s largest investment consultant ($900b+ AUA), overseeing all aspects of research, due diligence and portfolio management across alternatives as well as establishing and advising multi-billion dollar portfolios for some of the country’s largest institutional investors, family offices and HNW client segments.
